Pattonville firefighters honored the families of veterans on Memorial Day by offering an escort to gravesites at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Off duty firefighters arranged a shuttle bus and picked up seniors from the Sarah Community and Holy Angels Senior Centers.  Firefighters then escorted seniors to gravesites and paid respect to our veterans.  Pattonville is proud to offer this service to our area seniors.

Pattonville Fire District was a proud participant in this years' Special Olympics track meet at pattonville high school.  The fire district supplied paramedics to run the first aid tent and had equipment displays for the athletes to look at during the day.  Off duty firefighters even participated in the running of several events.  Pattonville Fire District has a great relationship with the Pattonville School District to take care and help educate our area kids. 

The Pattonville Fire District was awarded the Heritage Grant through Fireman's Fund Insurance on October 4, 2007.  The Grant totalling $19,073 was awarded for the purchase of an all-terrain utility vehicle with patient transport capability.  This vehicle will be utilized to service areas that previously could only be accessed by foot requiring extremely extended response time.  Through the partnership with Fireman's Fund we now have the capability to provide emergency services to wooded and waterfront areas in the district.  Thank you Fireman's Fund for allowing us to do "Whatever it Takes"

The Pattonville Fire District was granted the opportunity to set up a informational booth at the Holy Spirit Carnival on Sept. 7th and 8th.  Carnival attendees braved some rain-showers but were shown the fire district's latest equipment.  Firefighters passed out  helmets, stickers, coloring books, and temporary tattoos for the kids.  Adults were given fire safety and medical literature.  We thank Holy Spirit for the space in their carnival and praise them for their commitment to public safety by allowing our safety booth.
